The Many Lives of Sun Country Airlines
After the fall of Braniff Airlines, a group of motivated employees put their minds together and developed Sun Country Airlines. Unfortunately Braniff went out of business, and this core group of people had the keen desire to continue doing what they knew by creating a brand new airline. They hung on as long as they could until the insanity of September 11th took over, and that forced them under a few months later. But that didn’t last long because they were bought by investors who worked hard to resurrect Sun Country. Just like a return to the early days, Sun Country has been doing what they do best and that is making passengers happy. chinese translation service
Only 33 employees were on board when Sun Country first began scheduled flights. This company was started by former employees of Braniff Airlines; so these people were no strangers to the work or putting in long hours. Pilots and flight attendants did a variety of jobs in addition to their primary roles within the company. When you are alone and starting a business like that, then you put things aside and focus on the job. Their profitability did not take long at all, and it in fact happened very quickly in several months.
In December, 2010, Sun Country Airlines informed the public they were chosen to provide services from Lansing Michigan to Washington National Airport near Washington DC. As you can imagine, news like this could not come at a better time for the airline. The originating airport will be Minneapolis/St. Paul which is not surprising.
Once they pickup more people from Lansing, then they will go on to their destination at Washington National Airport. This is all very recent news at the time of this writing, so the stops have not actually been put into service, yet. The good news for the company is they will be doing this on a daily basis. MORE
In July of 2010, Sun Country Airlines told the world of their new and successful flights to Hawaii and London from the US mainland originating airports. For these new destinations, Sun Country is flying passengers with their twin engine Boeing 737-800. Sun Country Airlines has done that before with crossing the Atlantic using airliners with twin engine power plants. The very first trip across the Atlantic for Sun Country occurred in June (2010) when they flew from Minneapolis Minnesota to London England. Even though they may seem regional Sun country is not a large operations. Although they are a popular hot spot carrier when it comes to flights to places like the Caribbean Islands or Mexico among others. The company was originally started by people who worked for Braniff airlines. This happened after Braniff went out of business these experienced and talented individuals founded Sun Country. It was then that they decided that Sun Country would thrive on the highest quality customer experience they could possibly provide.
